Winter Street
Theatre Workshop of Nantucket (11/26-12/8)
I spent November and December in beautiful (and freezing cold) Nantucket, performing Justin Cerne's adaptation of Winter Street, the popular novels by Elin Hildebrand. A Christmas-y story about family, this play was a joy to work on, and a great way to end a year of much theatre.
As You Like It
Amoeba Productions, Riverbank State Park, (9/12-15)
Working with my dear friends at Amoeba Productions, an NYC-based non-profit performing arts organization, I was the voice and text coach for their outdoor production of As You Like It; and in a last minute turn of events, ended up playing Silvius as well (with roughly a week's worth of notice, and about 4 rehearsals). While quite a whirlwind, I loved every second of it.I got to maintain my text coach duties as well, supporting the production through one-on-one text coaching sessions, group vocal notes, and warmups.
Million Dollar Quartet
Saugatuck Center for the Arts (8/10-9/2)
I've just come back from playing Johnny Cash in my first production of MDQ; ending my summer in gorgeous Saugatuck, MI.
From Revue West Michigan - "Owen Harrison effortlessly hits those iconic bass notes and the timber of Johnny Cash as well as his look and almost bashful gentlemanliness"
Ride The Cyclone
Hangar Theatre (6/20-29)
I starred as Mischa Bachinski in Ride The Cyclone at the Hangar Theatre, which has won the Ithaca Times "Best Stage Performance" for 2024, as well as a BroadwayWorld award for "Best Ensemble"!
From the Ithaca Times: "Mischa (Owen Harrison), adopted from Romania, is furious at his neglectful upbringing, but his sustaining hope is his online romance with a traditional girl back home (he shifts from rage-rap to tender ballad)". (BroadwayWorld Article)
The Office! A Musical Parody
Jerry Orbach Theatre,
Off-Broadway
(Nov '23 - May '24)
I've recently completed a long run of The Office Off-Broadway, with close to 150 performances as Jim Halpert/Andy Bernard. Reviews: A child in the front row told me I had "rizz"... in the middle of the show... I think that's good?
